Hello from Galilea and her family. She is now 9 months old. It was a rough pregnancy from around 26 weeks to delivery. We continued to pray for a healthy baby not knowing what was going on with her. Was induced at 37 weeks to ensure she can receive treatment as soon as possible. The doctor left the room not knowing I was ready to deliver while he thought it wasn’t time. She was born two minutes after he left the room and was delivered on the bed. Staff came running in afterwards and put her on my chest but she wasn’t breathing. She went to the NICU to receive treatment. She had genetic testing done around 6 weeks and we then found out about her TUBB3 (R262H). Her TUBB3 was the reason for the pregnancy complications and why she couldn’t breathe at birth. She spent almost 6 months in the hospital and has been home since the end of November and continues to thrive with the help of a team of specialist doctors. We are so proud of our Galilea.
